  An average lucina vs an average marth, lucina has the edge because her damage and knockback is flat out better unless marth tippers, which is kinda hard thanks to 3ds controls, but someone like ken or mewtwoking who are basically god tier marth players and can tipper 9/10 of his attacks will still find marth to be very strong. Lucina can be more aggressive and worry less about spacing, so imo lucina will overtake marth on the 3ds in popularity and as a character as a whole. She's also smaller so she can dash under palutena's neutral B a decent amount of the time while marth may get hit.
  tbh i think marth is dropping a tier if nothing else than 3ds controls and a tiny screen, they also touched his range from brawl by 10-15% from what I've felt from playing him.

  Dhd is the single most troll character in the game, you have two extremely irritating ranged camp attacks that give melee characters almost 0 room to get close, it's a pretty nightmare matchup lol

  Hm, not paying attention to the new tier lists as of yet. The new characters are actually enjoyable to play, however I'll still play the older characters even if they're nerfed in this version.

  The tierlists are so volatile right now it's best not to breath too much into any of them, all i'm basing my info off of is talk on the smash boards and pro's for what they think are the strongest and have best control/matchups, but since the game has been out for less than a week it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
  
  Those 5 are just really strong right now, and i'm pretty sure dhd has a good shot at being up there too.
  
  And yeah that was just me bitching because i was so in love with melee marth, they hit everyone, not just marth, so the older guys aren't /that/ bad, just some of them cannot be played like they used to.

  As someone who used to play Zero Suit Samus a lot, she feels a bit different from how she was in Brawl, I'm having a harder time aiming with her sometimes, she also feels faster, to some degree. Not to mention jumping is a lot harder for me in this game because I'm used to pressing X on a GC controller to do so, and X has a different position on the 3DS, so I'm stuck with pressing the Circle Pad up for the time being. (I guess this also adds to my aiming being horrible atm.)
  
  So yeah I pretty much "mained" her, and Sonic being 2nd, regardless of what tier they ended/will end up in.

  On another note, they should clarify/fix how items are handled in this game, there's no option to adjust the drop rate and a lot of the time, nothing drops at all, regardless of whether it is an Omega Version Stage or not, I wonder if this is even possibly related to the use of custom movesets? Whatever the case, I find myself playing 90% of my VS. CPU matches without items despite having all of them enabled (and as a result, I haven't really seen many of the new Smash attacks either.)

  turn everything off but smash orb and set time to 5 mins you will normally get a smash orb half way through

  I really wnat to master Palutena. According to Japanese tier list, shes at the bottom, but she's fun to use because of how hard she is (slow attacks, mistakes are easily punishable) but her jump attacks are pretty good and has really defensive specials.
  
  Then after that there's Rosalina & Luma which needs a lot of practice to Tennis properly, while Little Mac... to be able to use him well and not just to own people who have mild difficulty against a lv9 CPU... that takes practice.

  The japanese tier lists are very volatile, palutena is one of the best zoners in the game, definately don't feel discouraged trying to master her, she zones hard, punishes harder, it'll just take a good while for someone to master her to the point of being amazing with her though, her skillcap i feel is quite high

  I'm not certain about improvements since it's been quite some time since I last played Brawl (it's now official that my Wii was almost literally stolen from me).
  But it seems like her Side B and Down B (2nd activation) are a lot more reliable now. She got a new Up B as well, which also works pretty well, although I don't really use it offensively too often atm.
  
  I'm not having the best time grabbing anyone since I tend to press back or forth depending on where the opponent to grab is, which results in me dashing through them a lot.
  
  She also used to be able to go from ZSS to normal Samus in the middle of a game, although I haven't checked if she's still able to do that.
  
  She's fairly solid overall, though.

  No, she can't anymore. This article says they took that out because of 3DS limitations, which is also why they cut out Ice Climbers and separated Zelda and Sheik into their own characters (and also changing their down B).
