Idk, i see a lot of people saying that the archery renovation has been useless and hasn't fixed that much but imo it's not true at all. The archery renovation is probably one of the most balanced renovations from all the three.
Mirage missile has always been op, it has 200% initial damage at r1 and the same aiming speed as ranged attack, so in a way its an alternative but at the same time gives poison, which is pretty much a cherry on top of it.
They made final shot more useful tho it has always been useful. Have you seen an elf spam mag with an effective range 20 bow with final shot? Now that teleportation doesn't take away duration, it adds alot of skill to the game, shooting while kiting back is way more fun that just spamming attack button with final hit.
Human ra has always been useless so i kinda understand why they gave humans a 0.5s cd on support shot. It's an alternative, offering 80% damage but giving a shtload of support damage (95% with bohemian), which is basically 175% damage compared to the normal ra 100%. Elves support shot has 1s cd, which is really all you need.
Urgent shot together with the aiming hit chance changes fixed the only hole in an archers kit, which was already somewhat filled by ranged attack stuns. Some talents can handle multiaggro really well but archery is more like a single-target dps talent relying on either mag or ar sniping enemies from afar, which gunners can't do. An elf with effective range bhafel + fs + campfire + mag gear vs gunner with wotg. Lullaby is the way to handle multiaggro and is a must for archers.
Spidershot will have 15s cd, adds 30% crit dmg at r1 and instantly traps someone for 9s... traps from generalshop aw yeah
I LOVE IT, archery will be perfect now btw you can miss on purpose at 1% aim speed just so you could urgent shot someone and then aim a crash shot like it was a ranged attack.

What the fuck did the 70% aim thing mean exactly?
The duration needs to be not crap for a skill that requires you to stand still and take no action (aiming) repeatedly, which wastes it away. Not sure what else it could have done to it that would make it better without tipping it into OP territory (max 50% load time reduction and 2x damage?) 2. Final Shot has always been an underrated skill, but the update still needed more buff to the skill.
Counterattack needs to not lock you out of archery skills, that's one thing that cripples the use of the talent. 4. Urgent shot was a nice attempt, but it really turns into a skill that is more of a Dex filler rather than its intended use. For emergency arrows, Arrow Revolver, or just windmilling is better for that.
Yeah but we don't know what it actually entails. If it's an aim percent boost they should have just changed the aim meter to match so it'd be clear. It's like if somebody asked about new enchants and was told "they drop in dungeons". It's like, okay, got anything clearer? The actual success rate of hitting the target drastically increases from 70%. Pretty sure I said this over and over.

Now, even for skills that will load during the animation, you can't actually fire off an attack until the counter animation ends... but they still let you start loading/charging them before it's even done, let alone locking you for additional time after the skill animation ends. Which, BTW, is about 2.5 seconds of ranged skill lock.

(There's a few skills that notably will not even try to start loading during counter, these tend to be "ults" like Sakura Abyss and Meteor Strike in the limited testing I did.)
But yeah, this is one of the basic inconsistencies that hurts archery.

3. Human range is not useless at all. Having the versatility of stats, it being combined with other classes can provide huge damage, whether it's single target or AoE.
Counterattack needs to not lock you out of archery skills, that's one thing that cripples the use of the talent.

Why bother using counterattack when you can just urgent shot? In fact, urgent shot and spider shot are able to use while counterattack. Urgent shot can even be use while windmill.

Saying that mirage missile is useless is like saying ranged attacks are useless. Mirage missile is pretty much a ranged attack with dot damage, because they both have 200% damage and as an archer i tend to use more ranged attacks than magnums. If 1 tick would do 700 damage, you could potentially deal up to more than 30k damage to 7 different targets. What about rafting? Shoot 1 mirage missile and just drink your cocktail. While hydra might give you more dot damage, mirage missile is faster and safer, because you can shoot it from anywhere and it only takes 1 second compared to going in the middle of a crowd, aggroing everyone and setting hydra up. It won't take much energy to just throw a mirage in your combo, something like ra + mirage + ra + mag or idk
1 - Urgent Shot can push enemies out of range, Counterattack never will. Why bother using counterattack when you can just urgent shot?
