My boyfriends computer is fairly high end, but when trying to play Mabi I get an error that says the graphics card is unable to load certain assets or something like that. Is there any way to make them play nice? I don't know what his card is, but I'll be back down at his house Thursday and can tell then if need be.

Would be good to know what the card is, but normally you can ignore that popup. It's just the game that doesn't know what your graphics card is so it can't properly compare it to known good cards. If the card can handle mabi it will regardless of that message. It's normally more common on laptops than PCs though.

It just completely closes the game and refuses to run it, regardless of what I do with the popup.

Processor: AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~3.7GHz
Chip type: AMD Radeon HD 8670D (0x990C)
Directly from DxDiag. Any clue as how to make them work nicely or a workaround?

It shows up after it loads gameguard. It tells me the card is incompatible and it cannot load some things, then the game completely closes regardless of which option I click for the popup.

So the main Mabinogi window never actually displays, not even for a second?

HD 8670D is some on-board thing that would probably catch fire if you tried to do anything with it.
It should still run mabi with only a bit of smoke coming out of it though. The only thing you can really try is to get the latest drivers for it and see if that helps mabi to accept it.
Also this is for the wrong game and wrong hardware manufacturer, but look around your system/google see if AMD has a similar function, and do the same concept but for mabi:

I'm surprised Mabi won't run on a 8670D, as it's a pretty good integrated GPU.

I'm not surprised that Mabi has trouble detecting an old feature set (that's likely deprecated by now) on an on-die IGP, it's the whole "shit crashes, yo" that's concerning.

It starts to bring it up, but just stays as a white screen and the popup occurs.
@Osay: I'll look around, but I don't really feel like messing with it in case I fuck it up.
