Umm.... Hello guys, after some research to find an MMO to sink my time I've found Mabinogi. The game seems pretty awesome and unique but can you please answer some of my questions to help me decide whether to play or not:
1/ Is this game solo-able (like I can still do stuffs when I can't find a party and also don't need alts to function well)
2/ How long does it take till I reach a state where I can do some endgame activities with everyone else?
3/ I've just downloaded the but patching seems to take forever, is this common and is there any way to help with this?
Thank you for your help, hope I'm here to stay x)

Wow, that was fast, thank you very much x) I haven't played the game but 2k-4k levels seem... a lot (ÒДÓױ) How long would it take in real time?(Like how many hours?).

Well uh I'm not sure xD It can varies on lots of things. And I don't think total matter much, more like how much ap you have and if you rank the right skills, and that if you can use those skills efficiently.
Do you rebirth weekly or free three weeks rebirths?
What level/exploration level do you usually get to before you rebirth?
And at lower level it's pretty slow, since mission/quest give less exp. But I been told leveling gets faster in higher/tougher quest/missions.
P.S Once again I could be wrong. xD

Hey welcome to nation and
1. The game is indeed soloable, but since you're knew i recommend getting to know people and learning through them as well as running stuff with them
2. just like regis said 2-4k is pretty much where you can start doing endgame stuff, depends how hard you work on your gear and a certain skillset
3. the first time patch can take forever but ive never really noticed it

weekly rebirth it can take 20 weeks to reach 2k that is if you reach level 100 per rb but thats if you actually have the connections to do 100 a week, 3 week rebirth can take 60 weeks. it all depends how far you go into character development
P.S Choose alexina as server

Thanks guys, everyone are so friendly here, hope to get to know you guys in game soon

I think I'll try the free option before deciding to spend on this game

This I don't know, I haven't decided which server to play x) Btw any recommendation?

Maximum amount of levels you can get a week is 230 (accounting for exploration as well) which is about 10-20 weeks or so. However getting to level 200/30 is extremely difficult and basically impossible for a new player (unless they are carried by other people all the time). Starting out you will probably be getting about 50~75 levels and 10~20 levels of explore. For the first 1k levels you will most likely take about 10~20 weeks unless you invest a good amount of money in the game or get help (or assuming you know all the mechanics of the game and how to gain money easily+how to play the market).
Mabinogi is a rare game. It requires you to invest alot of time and effort into it to get great results from it. Since it doesn't follow the traditional level cap system that most MMO's follow it has no clear indication for you to strive for when you first start and that intimidates alooooot of new players when they first start. The easiest way to play this game when you first start is to look not at the big picture, but at what you want to do next and then build on it. If you make your goal to be end game straight away it will overwhelm you and make you lose interest in it, however if you go skill by skill, skillset by skillset, stat by stat it will be alot more bearable and easier to swallow.
As I stated before, if you don't invest money into the game it will also go by slower due to the fact you will need to play the market, get reaaaalllly lucky on drops, or know the actual mechanics of the game and be able to abuse the best methods of gaining money (which will still require you to be carried by other people regardless).
tl;dr If you intend to play mabi, make sure you have patience, resolve, and the ability to bear with the nexon RNG....

Well if you're making a new account. Nexon allow's you to rebirth "daily" for free until you pass 300total. So it be best to take advantage of that get your exploration as high as you can. Try to stop at lvl 299 and rebirth one last time for free o:
I play on Alexina, it gets pretty laggy sometimes, but it could just be me. There's lot of nice people around here xD I got someone to take me to most of the moon gate/ mana tunnel.

Looks like most of your questions have been answered, just here to welcome you!
So welcome! :ran_girl2:
Use your own judgement when choosing a server though, take a look at how the people from each server are and make your own decision!
Just don't be fooled by the "NEW!" tag on Alexina, it's been there for years.

If you enjoy soloing, Tarlach is for you, heck there's even a guild called Soloist.

Thanks guys and sorry for the late reply 'cause I'm a bit busy this week :<
I'm experiencing huge lag spikes, I think it's because of my crappy internet, guess I'll wait and see if my connection gets better to enjoy Mabinogi
