Graphics card isn't good enough?

Ok so I recently installed mabi onto my new laptop. i started the game and right after it finished patching and i hit the start game button, this popped up:[SPOILER="click this i made it a spoiler for spaces sake"]

Now, i have a brand new top of the line laptop. It's not specialized for gaming (i do have to do other things), but games that have to run significantly better graphics are fine. here are my specs
- OS: Windows 8.1 x64
- System RAM: 8.1 GB
- Graphics Card: IntelÂ® HD Graphics 4400 with the most current drivers (10.18.10.3379)
- 3D Acceleration: Yes
- Hardware Transform & Lighting Support: Yes
- Video Memory: 1.8 GB
- Vertex Shader Support: 5.0
- Pixel Shader Support: 5.0
- Microsoft DirectX* Version: 11.0
- Current Graphics Resolution: 1920x1080
- Current Color Depth: 32 Bits Per Pixel
So, with that said, what do yall think the problem is, and what are your recommendations to work around it/fix it?

well the odd thing is the first time, i disregarded the message, then when the game came up, everything was messed up! the character screen was fine, if a bit glitchy, but the game itself was near unplayable.

If it's the same issue I once encountered after updating the Intel graphics driver... try messing with the water reflection settings in Mabi's options.

I get that message every time I boot mabi, and I've clicked through it every time. Sometimes my fan runs quite a bit on the higher draw power settings, but it's been fine for me.

This is a really common issue with laptop platforms so worry not as many people experience this! The only thing to be weary of is what Friggerton mentioned- the heatsinks can get rather hot and elevating the laptop helps to mitigates overheating.
