Mahjong is a really ãŸã®ã—ã„ã§ã™(fun) game that I have been playing recently. I am first dan on ã¦ã‚“ã»ã†ã§ã™ and second dan on ã˜ã‚ƒã‚“りゅもんã§ã™, which makes me one of the strongest players on there. I have mastered mahjong techiques like furikomi and furibeta. I am currently mastering the art of sashikomi which even mahjong pros in Japan have a hard time learning.
Another cool thing about mahjong is that it has its own anime and manga, my favourite is Saki, I learned how to play from it and can do most the tricks (I am trying to learn Kuro's dora skill right now)
There's also Akagi but that's boring and has bad animation.
Because of Saki there have been a surge of people becoming professional and I'm trying to be one of them! I have been saving all my pocket money to afford a trip to Japan and ã‚ãŸã—ã‚ã«ã»ã‚“ã”ã‚’ã¹ã‚“ãょã†ã¾ã™ã§ã™ï¼Once I'm in Japan I am sure I will have no problem joining a mahjong league after they see my skill level.
Anyway! The most popular mahjong client is ã¦ã‚“ã»ã†ã§ã™ (It was created a year after saki was first published! Coincidence? I think not!) To be honest though, it's a little rigged and I have had a bug where I could not ã‚ãŒã‚Š. I prefer JRM (also has that bug)
Here are some guides to learn how to play:

I highly recommend the first one, the others are too long and complicated.
Please feel free to ask questions about the game.
