It wouldn't really be WW3, there wouldn't be a world left. Once that first nuke lifts off, all of them lift off.
I would say mankind would survive a nuclear war. Barely.
We probably wouldn't "lose our technology" and etc etc like all the fictional stories suggest. But we probably would get screwed over for a bit.
Just know that North vs South will be seeing a LOT of EMP's, and that means less internet. Less internet sucks.
Also, a halt on MMOrpgs. And also, 90% of animes are produced in Korea. Less animes. Do not want.

U.S will not waste their money for the war.
They will request all the money to South Korea saying that they are doing it for them.
And Lan, I am sure North will.. They are the one who was threatening South that they will launch Nuke whole time.
Who the hell wants to rule over a wasteland? Not to mention sending their troops in after will just kill them -.-
You are very ignorant about how the world works aren't you?

Is there anyone stupid enough to actually launch a nuke?
Assume you are running a nation secluded from the World.
You just waged war against the world.
You lost.
You still have nukes left.
Go out with bang? Y/N
The concept is not very different from kamikaze pilots.
Also, don't forget that there are MANY nations with nuclear weapons.
Middle East. Russia. Lots of terrorist groups. And god knows who else.

Russia is still a threat? (If so I need to read up on some history)...
Terrorist groups...

Russia still has a good number of nuclear weapons remaining despite America forcing them to disassemble them.
More importantly, Russia's economic downfall forced themselves to SELL their nuclear weapons. Its suggested that about 60%+ of their nuclear warheads are now "missing", presumably in the hands of wealthy nations all over who are willing to have a hidden weapon of their own.
Yes. Nuclear weapons are being traded. Quite possibly how Iran got their hands on them without even having the plants to make them. Also, North Korea exports Nuclear Weapons as well.
Its a pretty scary world we live in. A single would could screw us all. This is why everyone is afraid to make a move nowadays.

Not only are they being traded, but the materials to make "crappy" ones is easily available to terrorist groups. Materials from nuclear plants and medical radiation therapy mysteriously goes missing. The quality isn't enough to make another Hiroshima, but it could take out a few city blocks, give it a nice windy day and there goes most of the city with radiation.

The North launching a nuke would be more than political suicide. I'm not sure they would have a country left to rule with an iron fist after they did that. =S Warfare is not as simple as pushing a giant red button to make all things right again.

The leader of North Korea is a douche
all he would care about losing is his comfortable lifestyle with his many mistresses and food etc.

I always thought It would be the Chinese who would start another war :s, first because of their massive amount of manufacturing they would run out of resources so they would invade another country for them, starting a chain reaction which would end with millions dying.
Though this is from my fairly ignorant view ^_^
