Computer issue.

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I have an alienware m11x laptop. This laptop has two graphics processors: integrated graphics and a high-powered NVIDIA graphics card (I'm not sure what it's called lol). I can change the processor for certain applications.
To conserve battery life, my default setting is the integrated graphics. But, for obvious reasons, I changed the one I use for vindictus to the NVIDIA processor.
I tried Vindictus with integrated graphics, the game runs much slower and at lower quality graphics. No server problems. With the NVIDIA one, it runs (almost) seamlessly with the highest graphics settings. Only there's a catch. After about 30 seconds of play, I get a notice that says "Unauthorized program detected. You will be removed from the game."About 30 seconds after that, I get dc'd.

Weird, I used my ps3 controller fine. Didn't run into this issue, but I suppose it could mistaken it for a hacking software or you installed something recently that is causing a conflict. That or maybe some sort of trojan/virus could be triggering it. Try running scans and uninstalling the latest thing you installed and try again.

Strange. My Logitech controller didn't do anything when I used it. Reinstall drivers possibly? Send a Ticket to Nexon? (lol)

I think whats happening here is the software alienware uses to switch between the two gpu's is catching the hackshield's attention. This isn't a problem with the graphics card, rather the alienware software itself. If you can disable it somehow, that might do it. I'd wager that more than one game's "anti cheat" software catches this, look around on google to find some similar cases.
